About the Artist

Being a visual person I was destined to become a photographer. Using natural light for photographs is my preference, but I understand using a flash has benefits. I capture images I enjoy and am thrilled when I hear others enjoy my images as well. My interest in photography started somewhere around 10 years old. I remember going to Vermont with a friend and his father to tour a train museum. Apparently I captured lots of photos because my friends father commented on it.

Photography took a back seat to other things, but I felt it tugging at me years later when living in Colorado.

Before a trip to Hawaii during the 1980's I purchased my first 35mm camera. As of today I still have quite a few bins of negatives from that time and I continue to scan in the negatives as time permits.

Switching in 2005 to digital equipment opened many new doors for me since I worked as a computer programmer.

I love to travel and spent time in other countries capturing photographs that connect me with people that walked these paths before me and my hope is to connect through my images. At times I enhance some of my images to more clearly reflect my impression and help me to commuinicate with people. I now live in Taos, New Mexico and feel captivated by the constant changes of light. The skies, mountains, and land and it's people are a daily inspiration for my photographs.

When you visit my website, you will see a variety of my images:

- Bleu Gallery - Dahlonega, GA

I use Windows PCs and my iMac. To capture images I use Nikon D300S, Nikon Z6, and iPhone 13. To process my images I use Lightroom, Photoshop, and sometimes plugins. My images are printed on my Epson P800 on archival paper with archival inks.
